An international producer of cutting tools for the glass industry was facing corrosion problems when using a standard screw out of stamping. The screw would eventualy brake thus making the tool useless

Its willingness to provide a solution from A to Z : Marcel Gal redesigned completely the requested screw for machining purposes and developed a solution using a stainless alloymachined from a single spindle advanced CNC machine.
RESULTS:
Production is ongoing on a medium serial basis (30 000/year). The price is even better than the standard stamped product
A CASE IN MACHINING USING DESIGN EXPERTISE
ISSUE:
A tier 1 supplier for a niche automotive market was experiencing assembling difficulties leading to a failure in an assembly of mechanical components. A blocking nozzle would get loose and break upon one shaft being exposed to a heavy mass.
SOLUTION: Comehor was chosen for
Its capacity to redesign the parts thus allowing the nozzle to lock with no offset for the shaft in the requested position. Furthermore, the new design – especially thought with machining in mind – would lead to a competitive advantage.
